South Africa Road Trip

It’s taken a while to find the time to actually stitch this video together, but fortunately it didn’t take long once I actually got started.

I’ve not been back to South Africa for about 12 years. After living there for the first 13 years or my life, it was really cool to go back to what i consider to be ‘home’ (typical South African!).

A lot has changed. An awful lot, but we were there for holiday and not entirely to reminisce, and what a good time we had. It’s not often I wish I recorded more footage because it’s me dealing with it afterwards, but hopefully the 2.5 mins of final product gives a good feel of what we got up too across the country.

We flew via Dubai with Emirates out of Heathrow Terminal 3. Unfortunately we were in the back of the A380 in Economy, my only long haul economy flight of 2015 #FirstWorldProblems.

It wasnt a flight to remember and the crew were rushed off their feet trying to serve the sheer volume of passengers in the cabin. I actually got missed during the meal service and had to call a member of the crew to serve me. Fortunately the only option left, was the option i wanted, although it left a lot to be desired!

Internal flights were booked via BA, served by Comair. British Airways status allowed access tot he SLOW Lounge in JNB, which was better than some other lounges i’ve used in Europe.
We returned via Dubai again from Cape Town, with the flight being as memorable as the outbound!

A full TR is being written up by my girlfriend which I will link too once complete!
